Om Jai JAGDISH!!!
Hmm so finally a piece after a long time!
I just came back from jammu after attending my cousin bro’s marriage and some ceremony of my own.
Was wondering in the aircraft (on my way back) on various experiences or topics that I could use to update my blog. Ohh of course how could I miss it, I can write about Jagdish!
Now if you are wondering who is this guy whose name symbolizes showing direction to the world…well he is just a helper, a small towny but he managed to impress me enough, that I am writing a piece about him!

To give his background he is basically something like a peon working in a college of my Aunt. Who readily offered his services for my bro’s wedding.
He always carried this smile on his face which was accentuated by his burly moustache!
And he always carried two lines on his forehead which would transform into set of four when he would be surprised with a question! He has a thin frame but surprised me with his lifting prowess when he lifted two full cylinders, one in each hand. I have always believed that fashion in Jammu comes before any city in India. Especially the conductors in the local buses are pretty fashion conscious and one should see the range of winter-wear. That would put a big city guy like me to shame! Well Jagdish was no different, he was fashionable yet simple.

What moved me completely was his dedication in any work he did.
Whether it was lifting cylinders or cleaning an area, all you have to do is just ask him to do it. He has an amazing memory power, and ability to remember minute details plus his reasoning ability is pretty mind-blowing! At times he came up with solutions to tasks which we bunch of literate individuals couldn’t crack!

You should hear his reply when a question is put forward to him.

Me: Will this be done by evening?

Jagdish: AAAOOHH!! :-D

Well that simply means ‘yes’.
At the end of marriage he managed to pick up few kashmiri lines, and I would joke with him about it because of his funny accent. I believe an semi-literate guy like him could teach us few straight forward things about life.
And in the true sense he is a good ambassador of his ‘name’!
I doubt he would ever read my blog or this article on him, not just coz he is semi-literate but probably he would never get access to the internet!

I wish him good-luck and success in whatever he does!
Adios!
